Jason Huh | Economics Professor

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). As an applied microeconomist, I specialize in health and public economics, with recent research extending into urban and environmental economics. My work has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Health Economics, and the American Economic Review: Insights.

At RPI, I teach Health Economics & Policy and Economic Data Analysis & Applications, primarily to undergraduate students. I have also taught Econometric Methods for Big Data and a PhD-level course in Health Economics & Policy. From 2019 to 2022, I served as the department's Undergraduate Program Director.

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Economics, with a minor in Statistics, from Swarthmore College.
